GOODA – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to GOODA. By placing an order with us, engaging with our website, or interacting with our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These policies ensure transparency, safety, and compliance with Florida Cottage Food Law and protect both our customers and our business.

1. Florida Cottage Food Law Compliance

GOODA operates under the Florida Cottage Food Law (F.S. 500.80).

This means:

  • All baked goods are prepared in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the State of Florida.

  • We follow all food-safety requirements outlined by the law.

  • All products are labeled in accordance with Cottage Food regulations.

  • GOODA is not a commercial or industrial food facility.


2. Allergen Disclosure & Kitchen Practices

While we take cleanliness seriously, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free workspace due to the nature of baking in a home kitchen.

Products may contain or come into contact with:

  • Peanuts

  • Peanut butter

  • Tree nuts

  • Milk & dairy

  • Eggs

  • Wheat / Gluten

  • Soy

  • Chocolate (may contain milk and soy lecithin)

  • Food colorings & sprinkles


Our Practices
Work surfaces are cleaned thoroughly before each batch. Doughs and batches are prepared separately to minimize cross-contact. Despite our efforts, cross-contamination is always possible in a home environment. By ordering, customers acknowledge and accept these risks.


3. Made-to-Order Products

All cookies and merchandise are made to order, meaning production begins only after purchase.

Cookies

  • Baked fresh for each customer

  • Cannot be canceled or modified once baking begins


Merchandise: Includes (but is not limited to): hats, shirts, apparel, accessories, tumblers, and other branded items

  • Produced by a third-party printing and drop-shipping partner

  • Created individually per order to reduce waste and avoid overstock

Because of this process, merchandise cannot be canceled, refunded, or exchanged once printing begins.

4. Local Pickup & Optional Delivery

Local Pickup

Pickup location information is provided after purchase. Customers must collect their order during the agreed pickup window. Missed pickups cannot be refunded.

Delivery (When Available)

Delivery for cookies may be offered on a case-by-case basis. If delivery is arranged: Delivery fees may apply. Once the order leaves our possession, GOODA is not responsible for:

  • Heat exposure

  • Melting

  • Breakage

  • Delays

  • Condition upon arrival

  • Customers are responsible for promptly receiving and storing their items.


5. Shipping (Merchandise Only)

Cookies are for local pick up only at this time. Shipping may be available upon special request but will not be an option at checkout. Any cookies shipped will follow the same warnings above for cookie delivery. 

Only merchandise ships at this time from checkout.

Once merchandise has shipped:

  • GOODA is not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages, or damage during transit

  • For misprinted or damaged items upon arrival, customers must notify us within 7 days with photos for replacement processing


6. Refunds, Returns & Exchanges

Cookies
Because cookies are perishable and made to order: All cookie sales are final.
We cannot offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind

  • Disliking a flavor

  • Missed pickups

  • Post-pickup handling or storage

  • Damage after handoff

  • If an error is made on our part, please contact us within 24 hours for review.


Merchandise
Because merchandise is printed specifically per order: All merchandise sales are final once production begins.

Replacements will only be issued for:

  • Printing errors

  • Damage on arrival

  • Incorrect items


7. Customer Responsibilities

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges:

  • They are aware products are made in a home kitchen under Cottage Food Law.

  • They understand allergens may be present

  • They will follow provided storage recommendations

  • They will pick up orders at agreed times

  • They accept responsibility for product condition after pickup or delivery handoff


8. Intellectual Property

All logos, characters, artwork, designs, product names, and branding elements are the exclusive property of GOODA™ and may not be copied, used, reproduced, or sold without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

GOODA is not liable for:

  • Allergic reactions or health issues

  • Improper storage or handling by the customer

  • Conditions resulting from customer transport

  • Delivery issues after handoff

  • Carrier delays or damage to shipped merchandise

  • Lost or stolen items after transfer to customer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties—express or implied—are disclaimed.

10. Updates to These Terms
GOODA may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
